– 500 gr Potatoes – peeled an cut into quarters or sticks
– 1 thick slice of Pork Loin steak
– 25 gr of Garlic flavored Butter
– Salt – to taste
– Pepper – to taste
– Sunflower Seed Oil – for frying
Heat up the oil and fry the potatoes until they become golden and crisp. In the meantime, heat a grill pan on high heat and cook the steak until it’s medium to well done. Season the steak with salt and pepper to taste, while on the grill. As soon as the potatoes are ready, take them out into a strainer and let them rest for a minute, then add some salt to taste and shake really well the colander on top of a sink until all of the potatoes are equally seasoned and the excess salt falls through the holes of the colander. After this step, let the potatoes rest for another 1-2 minutes.
As soon as the steak is ready, put it on the plate you will serve it on, next to the potatoes and put the garlic butter on top of it! The heat from the meat will help the butter melt and transform into a delicious sauce.

You can serve this recipe with some crunchy salad with a simple dressing made out of olive oil, lime juice, salt and pepper or some Peppers and Cauliflower in Vinegar (Mama Flori’s Recipe)
Tip: You can use pork tenderloin for this and also cutlet would be a nice change in this recipe. Pork in general would work well…
